Period diced calf, covers thrice framed in alternating gilt and blind tools of palmettes, tulips, and sprigs, central lozenge stamped in blind and inset with a 5 lire silver coin of Joachim Murat (Gioacchino Napoleone) dated 1813 to upper cover (Murat was also the dedicatee of this work), edges uncut (first few leaves starting, pale foxing throughout, modern ink inscription to ffep verso).
