Engraved frontispiece, engraved title vignette, large folding map of the Holy Roman Empire decorated with sea monsters and exotic creatures, engraved headpieces and tailpieces and initials. Contemporary full calf ruled in gilt, morocco spine label gilt, raised bands, gilt scrollwork in compartments, dentelle fore edges, all edges speckled (joints tender with a bit of splitting; contents bright and clean).
