FIRST EDITION. 55 engraved plates including the dedication title to Queen Christina of Sweden, dedication leaf to Raphael, and an allegorical frontispiece. 52 of these engravings reproduced Raphael’s paintings and were executed by Italian artists, Fantetti and Aquila (plates toned at outer margins, few tiny wormholes to margins of plates 51 and 52, otherwise clean).
