Leaves D8 and U4 are cancels because Johnson decided soon after printing that changes to these two leaves were essential. U4 was mistakenly renumbered 226 instead of 296 which is corrected in later issues. FIRST EDITION, FIRST ISSUE with 12-line errata and “afford” on p. 199, line 13. Expertly rebound by Scott Kellar (2014) in full rust cloth, morocco spine label in gilt (former owner name and acquisition date in pencil to verso of errata leaf, bleached title-page to eliminate foxing, occasional spotting to margins with few contemporary marginal annotations).
