Included with an additional 4-line HOLOGRAPH POEM AND DRAWING BY VEDDER on the limitation page: “I’ll make assurance doubly sure and take a bond on fate, by signing once again this book for lovely Nellie Laight.” Signed once again by the author, “Elihu Vedder”, and dated “Rome, April 14th, 1911”. Profusely illustrated with mounted plates with printed tissue guards, gravures and many reproductions of illustrations by the author. Publisher’s full vellum elaborately stamped in blue and gilt, top edge gilt (covers a bit soiled with few minor scuffs to rear boards); else a fine set with a warm inscription and drawing rarely seen by the author.
