BEESE, Amelie “Mellie” (1889-1925) Amelie Hedwig Beese Photograph. Amelie Beese was the first woman to obtain a pilot’s license in Germany, in 1911. She is seen in this photograph piloting the “Etrich Machine.” 7 x 4 ¼” mounted on larger card. Very good.
