Stage-Size Automatic Billiard Ball Stand. Berlin: Conradi, 1920s. Handsome nickel-plated T-shaped stand with cups for eight billiard balls. The magician produces white balls from his bare hands and sets them in the cups for display. Then, on command, and with the performer standing some distance from the stand, the balls vanish visibly one at a time. Breaks apart for packing. Concealed clockwork motor at center point. Height 59”. One loose solder joint, a few spring clips lacking, but good overall. Uncommon. Owned and used by the Czech magician Balzar, and accompanied by a photograph of the performer using the apparatus.
