Standard suits replaced with American national emblems: Stars, Flags, National Seal, and Shield. Courts are general (king), Lady Liberty (queen), and infantry soldiers (jacks). Old graphite notation on Three of National Seal: “Bought by Wm. D. Packard at New Orleans La. in 1863/Price 50c.” Copyright and imprint on Ace of same suit.
