Houdini, Beatrice. Bess Houdini ALS to Joseph Dunninger. Dated December 31, 1932 and written on her die-cut and monogrammed letter “H” stationery, Mrs. Houdini addresses the famous mind-reader in a humorous tone: “My dear Joe (pardon me I’m still mad at you) My Dear Mr. Dunninger…” and later says, “There now I feel better.” She addresses personal topics, asking after Dunninger’s mother and another person, whose name has been scratched out (possibly Dunninger’s ex-wife), but then jokes, “I don’t care how you are – see I’m getting mad again.” Boldly signed “Beatrice Houdini,” with a New Year’s greeting after the signature.
