Hand annotations and revisions in red ink by an unknown hand, SIGNED BY BURROUGHS and countersigned by the president of A. C. McClurg, Joseph E. Bray. Folds visible, upper corner stapled. A contractual agreement between Burroughs and A. C. McClurg for the publication “of a manuscript entitled ‘The Bandit of Hell’s Bend’”. The book is to be sold at retail for $2.00, and Burroughs is to receive royalties of 15% on the first 10,000 copies sold, and 20% thereafter.
