Provenance: from Morris Taft Thomas’ personal collection with his notary blindstamp to verso and signed inscription: “This is an original work by Mrs. Hunter, painted in my presence. Oct. 1972”. Sold by Thomas to M. Johnson–Hine in 2011 with additional paperwork of this sale. Thomas is a renowned artist, teacher, and author who has written several books on Hunter.
