Three pieces, including a two-page TLS (1958) from McGuire to Dr. John Henry Grossman, concerning the authorship of the “Phantom of the Card Table”, in which McGuire relates that a New York magic dealer put out the manuscript without permission and adds (in all caps and underlined), “Eddie McGuire never received one penny from the sale…neither did Walter Irving Scott.”—TLS (1958) from Artanis (Joseph Sinatra) to Grossman, sharing his opinion and esteem for the card artistry of Scott, McGuire, and Vernon. – Early mimeographed copy of the “Phantom of the Card Table” priced at $100.
