WW1 home-front work incentive poster depicts muscular workmen finishing the bright orange hull of a ship. 36 ¼ x 49”. Several areas of heavy over-painting to right side of image; scattered repaired tears. Linen backed. B+/B. Strikingly similar to the later industrial photography of Lewis Hine and Margaret Bourke-White, most closely echoed in Hine’s “Power House Mechanic.”
