Muhammad Ali (born Cassius Clay), at the time of this match known by his nickname “The Louisville Lip,” brashly claimed he would knock out the reigning heavyweight champion, Sonny Liston, by the eighth round. Although Liston was the odds-on favorite, Clay forced Liston to drop out in the seventh round. This poster advertises the film of the fight released for exhibition in theaters.
