Original lithographed wrappers by Braque; original card chemise with printed spine label and slipcase. Provenance: Philip and Frances Hofer (book labels). Philip Hofer was the founder and first curator of the Department of Printing and Graphic Arts at Houghton library and secretary of the Fogg Art Museum; from the library of August Heckscher (1913–1997) who was Hofer’s brother–in–law). LIMITED EDITION, number 136 of 225 copies on Vélin d’Arches INITIALED BY MOURLOT AND SIGNED BY PAULHAN in pencil on the limitation leaf.
