Numerous illustrations in text. One volume ex-libris with institutional stamp on title page. Arthur Good was an engineer and science educator who wrote under the pen name of Tom Tit for the French magazine L’Illustration. His experiments were designed to be both amusing and educational, with most of them requiring such common household items as candles, corks, and eggs. His books are considered to have laid the groundwork for modern science education for children.
