Wooden Himber-Style Wonder Boxes. Los Angeles: Owen or Thayer, 1940s. A set of two finely made wooden boxes without tops or bottoms are shown empty, nested, and a production of eight silk handkerchiefs is then made from within. Exceptionally thin and deceptive construction. 4” cubes. The first and only example we have ever encountered in wood; the prop is sometimes seen in the form manufactured by Merv Taylor from stainless steel.
