Germain Block Penetration. Glendale, California: Craig Dickens, 2000s. A modern example of the classic and rarely seen Karl Germain Block and Board Penetration. The block of wood – which may be examined – is slowly and visibly pushed through a solid board at multiple angles, in different locations on the board’s surface. The block and board sit atop a gilded wooden table on casters. Includes a custom-made ATA road case. Table height 32”. Block of wood 12 x 3 x 3”. Near fine condition. Germain’s method for his block trick was first published in Stuart Cramer’s book, The Secrets of Karl Germain. The original method is both direct and simple. This updated model incorporates several new features to switch in the gimmicked block at the same moment the board is displayed to the audience. The result is an improved and practical effect, beautifully made and updated for the modern working performer.
