Collection of Original Animation Cels. Ray Patin Productions, ca. 1960s. Large collection of original animation cels used in the production of 1960s-era television commercials. Includes large sequenced collection of animation cels and original drawings depicting elephant cereal mascot. Ray Patin joined Walt Disney Studios as an animator in 1937. His tenure there was brief, however, as he was among the animators who joined the 1941 Disney animator’s strike. From there he moved on to Warner Bros., and was active in the production of wartime films for the United States government during the Second World War. He established Ray Patin Productions in 1947, with his focus being on the production of television commercial cartoons.
