Jumping Card Box. Circa 1870. Hardwood box with patterned brass inlays at its corners. A card is chosen, lost in the pack, and the cards are then placed in the box. On command, the selection jumps from the box into the air, and is caught in the performer’s waiting hand. Height 5 ?". A handsome and early example.
