Three black and white film negatives and ten black and white glass plate negatives depicting the interior of Milwaukee’s historic Schlitz Mansion, contemporary with the residency of its first owner, Victor Schlitz. 8 x 10”. Packaged in a contemporary Eastman plates box. Overall condition, good. Provenance: Joseph L. Mutzbauer (1884-1965). The Schlitz Mansion was built in 1888-90 for Victor Schlitz, nephew of Schlitz Brewery founder Joseph. Today the house is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places and is considered a masterpiece of the Queen Anne style of nineteenth century architecture. Victor lived in the house until his death in 1928. Third-party shipping required.
