[KENNEDY ASSASSINATION]. A group of United Press International photographs. 1963. Ten 8 x 10” glossy photographs relating to the immediate aftermath of President John F. Kennedy’s assassination. These photographs were distributed to newspapers all over the country for use in local editions of Four Days, an American Heritage publication created in partnership with United Press International documenting the assassination. Images of the Texas School Book Depository, Jack Ruby’s arrest, Lee Harvey Oswald’s interrogation, the display of the murder weapon at Dallas Police Headquarters, and two photographs of the moment Jack Ruby fired his fatal bullet into Oswald. All but one are stamped with a notice asking that United Press International receive photo credits along with notations indicating on which page to place the photograph in the final printing of the book.
