With illustrations and halftone photographs, several full-page, on semi-gloss paper, one in color, and including an illustration the theater’s façade. Brick cloth stamped in gilt, a.e.g. Marginal tear to one leaf not affecting text; some dog-earing. Laid inside is a heavily worn program for “Mr. Blue Beard” (week of Dec 7, 1903), the production which was playing when the Iroquois Theatre caught fire. This volume was published only a month before the disastrous fire at the theater which claimed over 600 lives on December 30, 1903. The book promotes the Benjamin Marshall-designed theater as the “most beautiful temple” of drama in the city, highlighting its prime location and elegant architecture.
