POWELL, Frederick Eugene. Revealing TLS from Powell to Fellow Magician Linden Heverly. Dated July 5, 1922, Powell writes from San Antonio regarding the persistent health issues facing his wife, a successful operation he has undergone, and Harry Kellar, stating, “Those who knew Mr. Kellar closely have reason to respect and to love him. I owe this last least of life to the goodness and kind acts of Mr. Kellar. I have known him from 1877. … Magic lost its great outstanding figure when he passed away.” He also writes, “I never saw or met Blackstone, to my knowledge. I hear he is really a fine worker and has a good show.” One page on pictorial letterhead, with old mailing folds. Signed boldly in ink, “F.E. Powell.”
