[HAWAII] Kodak Hula Show. Honolulu: Visitor Ventures Inc., ca. 1960s. A man and woman take photos of Hawaiian dancers lined up under palm trees. 32 ¾ x 23”. Linen backed. Repaired staple- and tack-marks in upper corners; few light spots of restoration in upper image. A-. Eastman Kodak introduced the Hula Show in 1937 and continued sponsoring it for decades. According to the Honolulu Star Bulletin it was the longest continuously running performance in Hawaii when it celebrated its sixtieth anniversary, seen by an estimated 10 million people.
