Contemporary half brown morocco with silk moiré sides, covers gilt–tooled with a monogram of “PMS” inside a wreath, 2 larges compartments with one raised bands, large floral tools with leafy green morocco inlays, gilt–lettering in remainder, top edges gilt, silk moiré endpapers (a touch of rubbing at corners). LIMITED EDITION, number 439 of 1000 copies, of the “First State, Library Edition” printed on Japanese vellum with the plates in two states.
