Clifton Wooldridge was a Chicago police officer known for his passionate crusades against the forces of corruption, gambling, insurance scams, and human trafficking, with one commenter even calling him the “incorruptible Sherlock Holmes of America.” Over the course of a 20 year career he claimed 19,500 arrests, 3,200 criminals put away, and $100,000 worth of recovered property.
