Printed in red and black, 5–line initial flourished in apple–green by Edward Johnston. Original publisher’s limp vellum, gilt–lettered spine, stamp–signed by The Doves Bindery (tiny chip to lower joint, else fine). LIMITED EDITION, one of 265 copies, of which 250 were printed on paper. An exceedingly scarce title from the Doves Press. For this edition of Hamlet, the text of the second Quarto edition was used with some corrections by Cobden-Sanderson, who also “tried to improve the punctuation” (Tidcombe).
