Thumb Cuffs of Sen Yen. 1920. Set of sturdy wooden thumb restraints which hold the prisoner’s thumbs tightly by closing them with brass nuts and bolts at the outer ends. Despite the secure nature of the restraint, the magician makes his escape without difficulty. Engraved decoration painted yellow, inscribed, “To A.M. Wilson M.D. / From “Jensen” / Best Wishes / 1920.” Length 3 ½”.
