SWANN, Russell. Russell Swann’s Shooting Thru a Woman. New Haven: Petrie Lewis: 1950s. A rifle loaded with a dart and attached ribbon is shot through the midsection of an assistant and lodges in the target behind her. The ribbon is then pulled back and forth through her midsection. Used by Swann in countless shows and housed in the original travel case. Custom target gimmicked to shatter a china plate held behind the woman before the ribbon is fired, to “prove” the authenticity of the gun. Includes rifle, gimmicked belt, target, stand, and tools used to assemble and use the prop. Target height 53”. Significant wear from use.
