SWANN, Russell. Russell Swann’s Dove Pan. New Haven: Petrie and Lewis, 1940s. A spun aluminum Dove Pan attached to an air pump. Swann placed a flat rabbit into the pan and “inflated” it using the pump. Upon lifting the lid of the pan, the flat rabbit was now plump and fluffy. A comedy routine he performed thousands of times. Wear from use, but working.
