INSCRIBED BY STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN TO “DEB,” “Ross wants it tonight! / Stevie Ray Vaughan ‘90.” Includes black and white publicity still. Stevie Ray Vaughan was inspired to pick up the guitar by his older brother Jimmie at seven years-old, and after dropping out of high school at seventeen began to make a name for himself playing clubs across Dallas. After David Bowie saw him play at the 1982 Montreux Jazz Festival he was invited to play on Bowie’s 1983 album Let’s Dance which then led to Vaughan and his band Double Trouble being signed to Epic Records. The group released Texas Flood later that year, and the band became one of the most in-demand blues groups in the United States. Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2015. Provenance: The Bo Overlock Collection.
