BENNY, Jack (1894–1974). A large archive of press photos and related ephemera. Includes over 50 press photos, several in color, that feature portraits both professional and candid of Benny and several color proofs of the Jack Benny show staff (Rochester, Don the announcer, Mary, etc.). Also with numerous magazine clippings, cassette tapes of recordings of the show and several VHS tapes. Provenance: from the Estate of Marvin Friedman, a well–known New York area artist and illustrator for Gourmet magazine. Jack Benny was one of the top stars of radio, television, and stage in a career which spanned over 50 years.
