Color lithograph printed on Arches paper depicts a unicorn rendered in blue against a blue background with golden stars raining down from above and lightly-rendered images of people hiding in the clouds. 22 x 30”. LIMITED EDITION number 243 of 300 copies SIGNED BY SALVADOR DALI. This work was authenticated by Albert Field in his 1996 work, The Official Catalog of the Graphic Works of Salvador Dali. Due to controversy over the preponderance of Dali forgeries which entered the art market during the 1970s and 80s an official catalog of Dali’s works became a necessity by the early 1990s, and Field’s work is considered to be the definitive text separating forgeries from real pieces of art by Salvador Dali.
