Cords of Cairo. New Haven: Petrie & Lewis (P&L), ca. 1935. Cords running through two separate wooden pillars act in sympathy; when one is pulled, the other retracts, and vice versa - even after a visible cord connecting the two is cut. With cloth-covered stand and two sets of pillars. Pillars 13? long. Once owned by Tod Petrie, the second cpresident and owner of Petrie & Lewis. Very good. Scarce.
