Steel–engraved portrait frontispiece, numerous in–text woodcuts and plates (frontispiece foxed, some dampstaining at lower margin, few plates sprung). Original blind–stamped plum cloth decorated in gilt (extremes worn, hinges cracked, contents starting, sold as is). FIRST EDITION of the earliest and most important authentic biography of Buffalo Bill.
