[HOLOCAUST]. Der Jude Kaufman ubertrumpft! [Munich], 1942. Nazi Germany propaganda poster from the Parole der Woche (Word of the Week) series. 32 7/8 x 47 ½”. Linen backed. Minor repaired marginal tears; slight touch-ups along folds. A-.The subject of this poster is the extremist Jewish-American writer Theodore Nathan Kaufman, who called for the sterilization of German people. The Nazis used Kaufman’s writings extensively in propaganda material, and falsely claimed that “his ideas were popular opinion in America, and that Kaufman was an associate of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt” (United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, 1990.333.57).
