On the verso, there is the following ink inscription: “this made from original engraving. Original copper plate in the collection of H. Adair [?] Smith – from the Houdini Collection”. This image is reproduced on p. 272 of Houdini’s the Unmasking of Robert-Houdin (1909). It is unclear if this particular engraving was owned by Houdini.
