THURSTON, Howard (1869-1936). Thurston Master Magician. All Out of a Hat. [Cleveland: The Otis Litho. Co., ca. 1924]. 27 x 40”. Mounted onto linen. Edges worn, creased, with numerous small tears, some occasional soiling. Good. A surprisingly accurate representation of the opening number in the Thurston show’s later years, in which the magician produced a seemingly endless quantity of articles – including live people – from a giant top hat.
