Flower Production Table. Louisville: Okito/Redmon, 1950s. The magician produces silk handkerchiefs and sets them on his table. Gathering the scarves together, he produces from within them a large bouquet of flowers resting in a handsome wooden flowerpot. Clever mechanical table with collapsible pot decorated in the Okito style, and cast aluminum Redmon rabbit base. Height (inclusive of flowers) 58”. Rare; one of perhaps four examples known. The first owner of this prop purchased it from Don Redmon; on the date of purchase he queried Okito, who was partnered with Redmon at the time about the construction of the apparatus. Okito related that he not only constructed the tabletop and flowerpot, but the feather flowers, as well.
