Circa 1898(?). “Label under glass” Christmas whiskey flask with screw top depicting a black-eyed, bandaged, but grinning soldier captioned “But you ought to see the other fellow”. These holiday flasks were gifted to loyal customers, bartenders, and retail patrons by various wholesale and distilleries. This flask is believed to date around the Spanish-American War. Height 6”. Staining to left side of label, affecting image. Light denting to bottle lid. Uncommon.
