Karl Griesbaum Whistler Automaton. [Germany: ca. 1930s]. Carved wood automaton that whistles and turns his head when would with a key (included). Manufacturer’s markings on rear of base. Figure leaning on a battery-operated streetlamp (lamp not tested, but the whistling and head-turning function properly). 19 ½ x 5 ½ x 3 ½”. Some rubbing, top of lamp a bit bent. Still, very good overall (rear lacks cover).
