SOLON, Albert (1897–1973). Lignes Aeriennes Farman / De L’Antiquite a Nos Jours. Paris: Publicite Ch. Egler, ca. 1920s. Pegasus flies next to a Farman F.190, under radiating sunlight. Founded in 1919 by French aviation pioneer Henri Farman (1874–1958) and his brothers, Farman Airlines was the first airline to fly between European capitals. This is one of several aviation posters Solon designed for Farman and Air France. Framed, sight 26 x 17 ½”. Several long closed tears into image; few small punctures and tears; scattered creasing. No copies traced at auction; one institutional copy (Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum).
