A hand-painted Russian lacquer pill/trinket box in the shape of a pipe. The bowl has a lovely winter scene of finely-dressed people; on the hinged lid is a profile painting of Holmes (the interior of the lid is painted red). The stem has floral decorations. Approximately 6 ½”; 165 mm long.
