Will George Flamingo Hotel and Casino figurine. California: Will-George, ca. 1946. Painted ceramic figurine depicting a flamingo, stamped “Flamingo Hotel” to base. Height 9 ½”. Fine. These figurines have long believed to have been ordered by the Flamingo’s owner, mobster “Bugsy” Siegel, and handed out as giveaways to select guests at the casino’s grand opening over Dec. 26-28, 1946.
