[GAMBLING]. Acts of the General Assembly of the State of Georgia. Milledgeville: Camak & Ragland, 1830-31. 8vo. Bound in modern full tan cloth, spine stamped in black. Inkstamp on title-page. Fine. Passed at Milledgeville, at an annual session in November and December, 1829 - bound with 1830 issue. Book containing regulations for maintaining, presiding or dealing at a place to play for money at games such as “faro, loo, brag, bluff, or any other game played with cards,” is to be convicted and punished with hard labor for not less than a year and not more than 5 years in a penitentiary. If playing or betting, the person is to be fined between $20 and $100 and be a witness against others running the establishment or games.
