Publisher’s plain buckram-backed brown boards, with original printed paper spine label. Front board nearly detached, spine and spine label worn and soiled, boards worn and soiled, some offsetting to title-page from the frontispiece, minor occasional soiling in text, a few gutters overopened. First signature loose, but present. Bookplate of John Leadbitter Smith on ffep. Good. Rare in the original boards. Toole Stott 557.
