Provenance: Larry McMurtry (his bookplate, which he designed, features the horseshoe-shaped brand his father and grandfather used on the McMurtry cattle), from his personal library at his home in Archer City.
FIRST EDITION, one of only 1,000 copies printed, with essays including “A Haunted House,” “The String Quartet,” and “Kew Gardens.” The work was printed by F. T. McDermott of the Prompt Press in Richmond, who used to advise Leonard and Virginia Woolf when they first started the Hogarth Press. Kirkpatrick A5a.
