Black letter, calendar in red and black, title within elaborate woodcut border, second title also within elaborate border (“The Psalter, or Psalms of David”; register is continuous), woodcut initials, head- and tail-pieces, ruled in red throughout. (Title a bit soiled, occasional spotting at margins, A2 and Cc5 with new margins, Cc4 with marginal repair, ink stain on P4, marginal repair to second title and following leaf, last leaf following colophon remargined). CONTEMPORARY CALF WITH INTERLACE OPEN STRAPWORK GILT, numerous floral tools gilt, remnants of original blue overlays, pointillé and curl designs in blind within strapwork, spine in 6 compartments with raised bands, gilt-lettering in second compartment, gilt-tooling in others, edges gilt, dentelles, later marbled endpapers (joints and bands a bit rubbed, corners also with some rubbing).
