Contemporary half dark red morocco gilt, spines in 5 compartments with raised bands, gilt-lettering in 2, gilt-centerpiece devices within baroque frames in others, top edges gilt (joints a bit rubbed). Provenance: Edward G. Budd Jr. (gift inscription), son of notable American inventor and businessman.
A handsome set of Shakespeare’s works with the RARE RIVIERE IMPRINT. OCLC locates only four sets institutionally and no copies have ever sold at auction.
